Mumbai carnage: bleeding hearts and sore wounds

The world watched in stunned silence as the financial capital of India blazed in the fire of extreme terrorism for more than 50 hours. Images of the Taj Mahal palace inferno, open firing on the streets of amchi Mumbai, terrified hostages being evacuated from Trident, NSG commandos entering Nariman house and the bodies of the deceased being recovered were flashed on national and international news channels 24x7.

What should we call Mumbai’s 9/11? A slap on the face of the Indian government, a ruthless threat to national integrity, an unprecedented attack on the world’s largest democracy – none of these phrases capture the brutality with which the massacre was carried out or the anger and anguish that the citizens of the country feel.

I think, more than the actual incident that occurred, what pains is that this was not the first time nor was it without warning. A country of more than a billion people was not prepared to combat 10 trained militants.
As we witness the funerals of the great officers of Mumbai Police and the Indian Armed Forces personnel, as our hearts go out to the orphaned kids and the families devastated, as our eyes dampen with tears watching the heroism of the “aam aadmi (the common man)”, as we clench our fists in rage at the guts of the terrorists, and as we turn our wrath on the total failure of our intelligence services, we, the citizens of India, feel cheated, let down, bruised, hurt, broken.

And if external threats were not enough, our politicians make sure we remain divided internally. Delhi blasts, Gujarat riots, Hyderabad explosions, Mumbai bombings are all opportunities to play the blame game and score brownie points against each other.
A simple gesture like opposition parties and the UPA making a joint statement or putting up a joint front against the single largest and gravest issue facing the country could not be shown.

The Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh makes his most unconvincing speech ever in the feeblest voice possible; the President, Pratibha Patil heads to Indonesia for a “meeting”, wonder what could be more pressing a subject than that of national security; the leader of the ruling party, Sonia Gandhi takes almost three days to prepare her speech; the leader of opposition, L.K. Advani sacrifices a couple of hours from his busy election campaigning to sling some mud on the government; the self-proclaimed messiah of Maharashtrians, Raj Thackeray goes underground; the Chief Minister of Mumbai, Vilasrao Deshmukh takes this opportunity to transform the ruins of the Taj to a tourism package; and finally the deputy chief minister pulls the final straw with his famous quotable quote, “Such small things happen in big cities”. This is our leadership! What a contrast to how the US reacted to 9/11 or UK to its terror attacks.

I don’t know how many noticed but there is a crushing irony about the date - 26th November. India adopted its constitution on precisely that date back in 1949. I present here the preamble just as a reminder to our leaders that what we are asking for is not a privilege. Our security is our constitutional right and every time it is violated, the ruling government should be taken to court.

WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizens:
JUSTICE, social, economic and political;
LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship;
EQUALITY of status and of opportunity;
and to promote among them all
FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual
and the unity and integrity of the Nation;

IN OUR CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY this twentysixth day of November, 1949, do HEREBY ADOPT, ENACT AND GIVE TO OURSELVES THIS
CONSTITUTION.

Five days from 11/26/08, and 59 years and 5 days from 11/26/1949 - we are still awaiting a decisive action plan on combating terrorism from the front runners of this country. We are still not sure whether such an intelligence failure will happen again or not. We are terrorized with the Deccan Mujahideen threat of a repeat of Mumbai in Delhi. We are free but our freedom is fettered. Our wounds refuse to heal.

Britney Spears Performs on Star Academy

Britney Spears appeared on French TV show Star Academy on November 28, 2008 to perform "Womanizer" once again. It was the exact same performance that she did at German's Bambi Awards Show, except with a different outfit on.

You can expect a whole lot of walking back and forth, a couple of leg lifts and, yes, myriad lip synching. Still, I am impressed that Britney Spears has gone from the bald-headed paparazzi attacker that she used to be to the straight laced girl from Louisiana once again.

Britney Spears is doing the European circuit from the looks of it... I'm guessing she's testing the waters before heading to Good Morning America on her birthday, December 2, 2008, which, coincidently, is also the release date for Britney Spears' new album Circus.

So check out Britney Spears on Star Academy and tell me what you think.

Britney Spears Performs at German Awards

Link
Britney Spears was proud to perform in Germany on November 27, 2008, since that trainwreck at the MTV music awards a while back, and she did a magnificent job, all things considered. Britney Spears performed "Womanizer" on stage at the German Awards and it looks like she took some fashion advice from Madonna because she was dressed just like her.

Britney Spears got through the song without missing a lip synch and her body is back to its pre-baby form and I'm guessing that Britney Spears, as well as her many fans, is very happy about that. Britney Spears was also awarded the Bambi Award for her comeback to the music scene.

So check out Britney Spears performing at the German Awards and let me know what you think.

And just in case you forgot the Britney Spears disaster at the MTV Awards in 2007, enjoy:

2009 Short Bob Haircut For Women

Women Bob Haircut. Bob Hairstyle is a famous hairstyle for women. It looks pretty good

2009 Bob Hairstyle for Women

There's nothing better than combining old and new!The Mushroom Bob Hairstyle works best on a medium to light weight hair types and suits best for tall and sexy girls with that feminine touch!

Bob Haircut always looks good for Women

The Blunt Bob Hairstyle suits best for straight, fine to medium textured hair.

Short hairstyles are the name of the day now and men and women are opting for it without a question. With most face shapes being suitable to short bob hairstyles, many women also prefer these hairstyles due to comfort and time saving that these offer. A short bob hairstyle also offers protection from environmental damage like bad hair days and split ends caused due to exposure to sunlight. In case of curly hair, one can also opt for long spiral curves that can overlap the crown hair.

2009 Women Bob Haircut

Even celebrities like Ellen Barkin have got the latest in short bob haircuts and they even look elegant and smart at red carpet events. With a short swept fringe at the top, Ellen looks hot and stylish with this haircut. A fringe suits a short bob hairstyle as it suits most other styles perfectly. It adds a lot of character and also helps in facial framing. Another prime example of a hot and sexy short bob hairstyle is Rihanna who comes to the David Letterman show. Being young and sexy, the hairstyle also adds a lot of charm to her character on the show.

2009 Women Bob Haircut

With more and more celebrities opting for short hairstyles, the short bob has come to the limelight for most women. This style not only makes them look smarter but also cuts down on grooming times and maintenance. To get one for yourself, all you need to consider is your face shape and suitability of skin tone. Although, this hairstyle suits most women, getting one is a matter of choice. Overall, the short bob hairstyle is her to stay for some time to come.

Pink Seduces Herself in her Sober Video

Here is singer Pink in her new Sober video and she manages to seduce herself in the song, which is pretty original if not narcissistic.

Pink has always been quite the innovator in that she takes a step away from the usual, but let's face it; Pink is not the first to touch on the "lesbian" trend.

Many people think that Pink is a bit mannish, but there are times when she looks really sexy, and this video is pretty damn hot. Watch Pink seducing herself in the Sober video and decide for yourself.

Robert Pattinson on The Tonight Show

Robert Pattinson was on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night to talk about his starring role in Twilight and I have to admit that Robert Pattinson is easy on the eyes, face-wise.

The question is, why are all the teenage girls going gaga over Robert Pattinson of late? Robert Pattinson is kind of cute, but perhaps it's the character that he portrays rather than hum personally.

What's funny about this clip is how Heidi Klum embarasses him by asking him if he actually styles his mop head like that or if Robert Pattinson wakes up like that and just leaves it be. Funny girl that Heidi. Robert Pattinson is pretty funny though, so check out the video of Robert Pattinson on The Tonight Show.

Britney Spears on the Cover of Rolling Stone

Britney Spears shows off her once again perfectly photo shopped body on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.

Britney Spears has been on the rise in popularity lately, mostly thanks to her father who has been keeping a close eye on her. I have to admit that Britney Spears is back to looking beautiful and, dare I say, sexy.

Of course, we all know that she's one bag of Cheetos away from fat and crazy, but I'd like to think that her father has a good handle on things. I mean look at Britney Spears on the cover of Rolling Stone; she looks like a freakin' star. Again.

Mariah Carey Pregnant?

Mariah Carey
was on Ellen and she kept dodging questions about whether or not she was pregnant. But Ellen had a few tricks up her sleeve.

Ellen asked Mariah Carey if she was pregnant; Mariah Carey didn't admit or deny it. Then she offered Mariah Carey some champagne; Mariah Carey refused saying it was fattening and before 3 p.m.

But to finish things off after Mariah Carey kept denying it, Ellen finally told Mariah Carey, "you're pregnant."

I don't know about you but I'm pretty sure that nannies would end up raising any and all of Mariah Carey's kids. She doesn't seem like the maternal type. Watch the entire episode today.

Lindsay Lohan Still Drinking

Lindsay Lohan is no longer a recovering alcoholic/drug addict. Lindsay Lohan's alcoholic and drug addiction days are actually in full swing... except this time she's thrown lesbianism into the mix.

A security camera at a club that Samantha Ronson was DJing at caught Lindsay Lohan drinking vodka and Red Bull, buying cocaine, making out with Samantha Ronson, and texting.

So it looks like there's a good reason why Lindsay Lohan's career is in the crapper. Looks to me like Lindsay Lohan will be broke before long and she's going to look like she's 50 when she hits 25.

Ne-Yo's AMA Performance

I'm not sure if you caught Ne-Yo's performance at the AMAs on November 24, 2008, but Ne-Yo is probably one of the most entertaining singers out ther at the moment. I once caught him opening for Alicia Keys, and I have to say that Ne-Yo really knows how to work it.

And it's not just Ne-Yo; he manages to hire some of the sexiest dancers this side of Earth as well and you can tell that they're professional classic dancers. Ne-Yo really knows what he's doing and yes, he proves that it really is the year of the gentleman.

So check out Ne-Yo's performance at the AMAs. "Closer" comes in at the end.

Beyonce's Weird Sunglasses

Beyonce is usually a trend setter with her elegant ad sometimes very provocative style. But it looks like Beyonce is taking fashion tips from her disaster of a sister Solange Knowles.

Beyonce was seen sporting sunglasses made of "fringes." Remember fringe jackets in the '80s? Yeah, like that. I have no idea what was going through her head... maybe she did it on a dare, or maybe somebody paid Beyonce $1 million to don them.

Either way, would be caught dead in these Beyonce sunglasses? Yeah, me neither.

Beyonce's AMA Performance

Beyonce did her song and dance on November 23, 2008 at the AMAs and boy did she ever knock it out of the ballpark.

Beyonce performed "Single Ladies" and had the entire audience on their feet as she portrayed her Sasha Fierce persona. And yes, she did the same choreography but I have to say, it is always entertaining to watch Beyonce no matter what she does.

Beyonce really knows how to keep a crowd entertained and she did it effortlessly at the AMAs.

Christina Aguilera's AMA Performance

Christina Aguilera did a 7-minute medley of her greatest hits at the AMAs on November 23, 2008, and I don't know about you, but Christina Aguilera is starting to look more and more like a transvestite to me.

Christina Aguilera is really starting to look like Boy George... I don't know what's up with Christina Aguilera's platinum blonde hair and that crazy makeup, but I have to admit that Christina Aguilera is looking great body-wise lately and she proved it during her AMA performance.

So what did you think of Christina Aguilera 7 song performance? I thought it was entertaining, save for the hair and makeup.

David Spade Dating Nicolette Sheridan?

When I first get a glimpse of David Spade, certain words come to mind like "small," "funny," "stinky," "crusty," "tiny," and "useless." But it seems that I am alone in my thinking because David Spade manages to get the best of them.

David Spade has dated the likes of Heather Locklear, Lara Flynn Boyle, Pamela Anderson, Teri Hatcher, and now Nicolette Sheridan. What is it about David Spade that women fall for?

Is David Spade a charmer? Does the camera add 10 pounds of ugly? What the hell is it about David Spade???

Rosie O'Donnell and Barbara Walters Continue Feud

It's wonderful when there's an open feud going on... that's what's happening between The View's Barbara Walters and Rosie O'Donnell, who has a new show coming to NBC.

Of course, Rosie O'Donnell wants all the publicity she can get; I mean, who wouldn't want to use old enemies to garner publicity and hopefully outdo their ex-boss? Rosie O'Donnell, that's who.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of Rosie O'Donnell; nor am I a big fan of Barbara Walters, but that doesn't mean that I don't approve of this nasty fight that's about to blowup.

Rosie O'Donnell can easily take Barbara Walters in a full on fight, but can she beat her in the ratings? That remains to be seen. Rosie Live airs November 26, at 8 p.m.

"Arrested Development" Movie Finally Gets The Green Light

The much-anticipated "Arrested Development" movie finally got the green light last week.

The sardonic FOX television show, which jump-started the Hollywood career of "Superbad" star Michael Cera, showed us that Jason Bateman was actually a great actor, and featured highly skilled actors Will Arnett and Jeffrey Tambor, is making progress toward the big screen.

Michael Hurwitz, the creator and executive producer of the award winning series, has signed on to develop the script and direct the film. Joining Hurwitz will be director Ron Howard, the producer and narrative voice of the show. The two are still in the process of finalizing deals with Imagine Entertainment and Fox Searchlight.

Other cast members will include Portia de Rossi as Lindsay Bluth Funke, David Cross as Tobias and Liza Minnelli as Lucille Austero. The film will continue to follow the dysfunctional Bluth family as they try to move on with life after their father is sent to jail.

Michael Bluth, a widower with a 13-year-old son, named George-Michael (Cera), is forced to keep his large family together after his father is arrested for illegal accounting practices at the family-owned conglomerate and the Bluth family assets are frozen, making each member of the eccentric family panic.

Michael's stuck-up mother, Lucille (Jessica Walter), finds herself living alone in a penthouse without the financial means to maintain it, while Michael's two brothers, GOB (Arnett) and Buster (Tony Hale), and his sister Lindsay (Portia de Rossi) with her husband Tobias and her daughter Mae also find themselves having to scale back their lifestyles to fit their new financial status.

Howard told reporters, "We still don't have a script, but it seems that the studio, and the original cast all want to do it. I'm there for it. So, I'm really hoping it happens."

No release date has been set, and we can't wait to get a first glimpse at the trailer. We suspect this film could be the smash hit of the season if done well. With Ron Howard attached we don't see how they can go wrong.

Angelina Jolie Manipulates Press?

According to the New York Times, Angelina Jolie makes deals with paparazzi and entertainment news magazines to portray her and her family in a positive light at all times, otherwise, she will not give them the time of day.

Apparently, Angelina Jolie's $14 million deal with People magazine stipulated that the magazine would never call Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Brangelina and that they would always talk about her family in a glowing and beautiful way.

Now, do you believe the New York Times? Or is it possible that they need to sell papers and they know that Angelina Jolie is a big seller these days? As well, is it possible that she refused to do an interview with them, which may have perhaps pissed them off and led to this story? Or is it possible that Angelina Jolie is a master manipulator and has managed to put herself in this positive light and the rest of us are just too in love with her to see it?

You decide what Angelina Jolie is up to.

Sarah Palin Pardons Turkey Video

We've all established that Sarah Palin isn't the brightest bulb of the bunch via her myriad dumb remarks regarding everything from seeing Russia from her house to thinking that Africa is a country.

But all that pales in comparison to watching Sarah Palin pardon a turkey in Alaska only to give an interview moments later to a backdrop of a man who's killing turkeys right behind her.

Sarah Palin is really oblivious to what's going on and doesn't realize that everyone is, in fact, laughing at her stupidity and ignorance. I wonder what Elisabeth Hasselbeck will say about this... probably something like, "It's not her fault... blah, blah, blah... Barack Obama would've sent Reverend Wright in his place and then distanced himself from the whole turkey situation."

Yeah, Sarah Palin was almost the Vice President of the US. Think about it.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz Gives Birth To Baby Boy

Ashlee Simpson and her Fall Out Boy rock music husband Pete Wentz have become parents for the first time.

Simpson-Wentz, 24, gave birth to a boy, named Bronx Mowgli Wentz, on Thursday, and everyone is doing well. Reports leaked on Thursday that Simpson was at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The singer, the younger sister of celebrity Jessica Simpson, has released three albums, and is famous for lip-syncing to a prerecorded soundtrack that broke down on "Saturday Night Live" in 2004. She married Pete Wentz this last spring.

Wentz is the bass player and front man for the pop band Fall Out Boy, which topped the United States music charts last year with its album, "Infinity on High."

Celebrity Flaw of the Day - Karolina Kurkova Belly Button

I'll be the first to admit that Karolina Kurkova is one of the most beautiful women in the world. But it is a little unsettling to see Karolina Kurkova frolicking on the beach with her Victoria's Secret co-models and with no belly button to be seen.

Karolina Kurkova has no belly button, which begs the questions: What the hell happened to Karolina Kurkova's belly button? Did she have some kind of plastic surgery? Did some guy steal it and sell it on eBay?

I'm pretty sure guys don't care that Karolina Kurkova is missing her belly button, but women everywhere are scratching their heads in wonderment.

Brad Pitt on Oprah

Brad Pitt was on Oprah on November 19, 2008, and I have to admit, it was one of the most interesting interviews I've seen since, well, since Jennifer Aniston was on last week.

Brad Pitt tells Oprah all about his 6 kids and how funny they are without even trying and Brad Pitt reveals to Oprah why Angelina Jolie is such a wonderful human being.

Brad Pitt has seen better days; it'd be awesome if he had removed that mustache and perhaps exfoliated, but Brad Pitt is still adored and considered crazy sexy, even if he is a dad of 6. Even Oprah has to admit it.

Hugh Jackman is the Sexiest Man Alive

Well, People magazine has named its Sexiest Man Alive for 2008 and there's no surprise that Hugh Jackman got the award. Hugh Jackman looks hotter at 40 than most men look at 20.

Hugh Jackman has been frolicking around the beach shirtless of late, and the ladies are loving it. Hugh Jackman knows how to work that gorgeous body of his and the ladies are devouring every moment of it.

Of course, Hugh Jackman is a husband and a father, but that doesn't stop us ladies from fantasizing about him when we can.

Veni, vidi, visa - I came, I saw, I shopped

Yes, I confess I am a shopaholic and guess what I am proud to be one. I can shop anytime anywhere! Shopping is always so exhilarating and uplifting. It easily qualifies as one of the most cathartic experiences I have ever had – a panacea to all my worries ever.

My earliest memories of shopping go down to my toddler years when dad and mom used to take us kids for the routine shopping rituals – uniform shopping at the beginning of each academic session in April, summer wear to brave the heat of May and June, birthday shopping in September, new clothes for Diwali in Oct-Nov and Priyank’s (my younger bro) b’day shopping in Jan and the cycle repeated year after year. Every instance was an outing, a celebration to look forward to.
New things – latest 3-d pencil boxes/cases, lunch boxes, bata shoes, school uniform, frocks, t-shirts, new socks … everything … caught my heart’s fancy back then and continue to excite me even now and I promise for many many more years to come.

School years made way for the frenzy and flamboyance of college life. Ritualistic family visits to conventional shops in Karol Bagh and Connaught Place were overtaken by group attacks to the crowded and dusty streets of Janpath, Sarojini Nagar, Central Market in Lajpat Nagar and Kamala Nagar. Rummaging through the export rejected “maal”: T-shirts and kurtas for half the showroom price, bargaining in the hot summer heat with the bhaiyaas and uncles to get the beautiful oxidized “Ashoka” jewelry – bracelets, armlets, chunky earring and stone necklaces in ‘do ka bees’ (2 pieces for 20 rupees) and finally the satisfaction of getting the embroidered bag with mirror work for the cheapest possible price made a great successful day.
Ofcourse, we also made it a point not to miss the pleasure of air-conditioned shopping experience at the more chic locales of Ansal Plaza, Fab India and Cottons and the upscale markets of G.K. M Block, South Ex, PVR Priya and Dilli Haat.
As college years threatened to come to an end, Delhi and the NCR region witnessed the surge of malls and multiplexes - (apart from flyovers, but that’s a different story altogether) – Centerstage in Noida, 3Cs in Lajpat, Shipra and many such vast giants emerged pushing the unorganized market segments to the periphery of the middle class shopping experience. Malls and the brands sold within these malls limited my choices for shopping when I started working in 2004. Haggling in Janpath et al, combining shopping with eating and merriment, and taking this time to bond with each other reminisced to a beautiful nostalgic memory – Shopping became an act of need, a job to be gotten done with...but not for long.

The shopaholic spirit in me was aroused and awakened - completely - when the wedding bells rang. Amidst the old Delhi colorful charm of the lehengas of Chandni Chowk, the bright bangles near Hanuman Mandir, the silks of Nallis, the chiffons, crepes and georgettes of Meena Bazaar, the gold and diamonds of Tanishq, the bandhinis of Jaipur the banarasis and kanjeevarams, the tanchois and the lehariyas, was revived the passion I had for the art, the skill, the experience – shopping!

“Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping.” I so agree with whoever said that – a big hug for you!

Work and personal life, actually, married life has taken me to some of the most amazing and unique shopping destinations (apart from Delhi, which continues to remain no. 1 for me) – entangled streets of Hazrat Ganj in Lucknow, the long stretch of Jauhari Bazaar in Jaipur, the fashionable Fashion Street in Colaba Bombay, the always-busy Pondy Bazaar in T.Nagar Chennai, rustic Khurja in UP, the glamorous Night Bazaar in Bangkok, the never-ending shopping arcades in the world-famous Bloomingdale’s and Beverly Hills to name a few in the shopper’s paradise - Los Angeles, the expanse of Union Square in San Francisco, the noisy Beale Street in Memphis, the stylish Michigan Avenue in Chicago and the countless factory outlets and malls in the many states of US.

As opposed to many anti-shopping tirades in this universe (including those of my husband’s), I have a very holistic view to the distinctive concept of shopping. And my close shopping mates – voluntary – school/college friends, mom and involuntary – my poor brother and hubby – will agree.
While shopping you get to witness the miraculous creativity of us human beings as we see all kinds of people with varied tastes, backgrounds and budgets, trying to find the best fit, the perfect combination, the ultimate gift. Moreover, shopping brings out the best in people…I mean c’mon have you heard of someone saying let me buy this, it accentuates my paunch or hey let’s buy this for so and so, it will make her look uglier? No, right? That’s exactly my point.

I love the hustle and bustle of the swarming market places, the constant fretting of young teenagers to get into size XS or Petite-S, the forced hurrying by the dads and hubs, the worn-out look on the toddlers’ faces, the candyman at the corner trying to boost his sales, and finally the big sign boards with the golden four letters “SALE”.

Veni, vidi, visa - I came, I saw, I shopped.

Angelina Jolie Cries During Changeling Press Interview

Link
During a London press interview for Changeling, Angelina Jolie was discussing where her inspiration for the character came from and Angelina Jolie began crying when she revealed that her mother was the inspiration.

Upset that she had such a reaction, Angelina Jolie said "oh f*ck" and then went on to reveal what a wonderful person her mother was and how she admired the fact that she was so soft and tender.

It really is touching to see Angelina Jolie in such a vulnerable state considering we all consider her such a tough ass. Not only is she beautiful on the outside, but Angelina Jolie obviously has a great beauty within.

Robert Pattinson at the Twilight Premiere

Robert Pattinson made his way to the premiere of his first starring role as a vampire in Twilight last night and you know that the girls and women were going crazy for him.

Based on the popular novels by Stephenie Meyer, Robert Pattinson stars as a vampire in a Romeo and Juliet like story of love. Robert Pattinson has become hugely popular of late, so popular that no one even saw it coming.

Either way, Robert Pattinson knows how to play the camera - that's for sure.

Christopher Lloyd's House Burned To The Ground

Christopher Lloyd's California house has burned to the ground and completely destroyed by the wild fires running rampant in California.

The 70-year-old actor, who played Doc Brown in the "Back To The Future" franchise with Michael J. Fox, was filming his latest movie in Canada when the fire reached his home north of L.A.

The $7 million estate was one of about 125 properties threatened by the fire in the area, which started in the San Fernando Valley last week.

Actor Rob Lowe fled his home earlier with his children as fire took over the area with flames shooting 200 feet into the air from 75 mph winds.

The two are among a long list of Hollywood celebrities who have homes in the isolated foothill area. Other celebrities include Jeff Bridges, Michael Douglas and Oprah Winfrey.

It was reported earlier that Winfrey sheltered her pet dogs at a nearby Four Seasons as she rode out the fire in another of her mansions.

Lloyd has just completed filming on the family adventure "Jack And The Beanstalk" due later this year. The film is a live-action take on the legendary tale of Jack and his magic beans, which sprouts a large vine that stretches up to the clouds where he stumbles upon a giant and a goose the lays golden eggs.

Joining Lloyd on the project is Katey Sagal as Jack's mother, James Earl Jones as the Giant and Chevy Chase.

Kate Hudson and A-Rod Dating?

Kate Hudson might find herself getting bitch slapped by Madonna in the coming days because word has it that Kate Hudson is honing in on A-Rod, Madonna's man.

Sources say that Kate Hudson and A-Rod were getting really cozy over the weekend in Miami while watching Mariah Carey belt out a couple of songs. Kate Hudson and A-Rod were hugging, tugging and perhaps even fugging at a private table and never left each other's side.

When Madonna gets wind of this, you know she's gonna be pissed as hell and might even pull one of her ass-kicking yoga moves on her. This is going to get messy you know, so you might want to keep an eye on Kate Hudson and A-Rod because they're both going to get their asses beat.

Justin Timberlake and Beyonce on SNL

Justin Timberlake showed up on Saturday Night Live on Saturday, November 15, 2008 in a leotard and heels to parody her song "Ladies Night" but this time Beyonce ends up looking like the backup dancer.

It was awesome because Justin Timberlake is really hilarious and has a flair for the funny (save for that piece of crap called The Love Guru) and he's wearing a leotard and heels.

So check out Justin Timberlake and Beyonce on Saturday Night Live, and enjoy it.

Quantum of Solace is Number One at the Box Office

Daniel Craig's Quantum of Solace blew away the competition this weekend by taking in over $70 million dollars. And we're not just talking North America, Quantum of Solace and Daniel Craig managed to woo the world and ended up taking the box office in France and Britain as well.

Daniel Craig must be celebrating and it's obvious that this movie took a hint from the Batman franchise by making James Bond a darker, more complicated character. And the formula is obviously working.

So if you haven't seen Quantum of Solace yet, there's no time like the present to get on it.
Here are the past weekend's top 5 movies:

1 - Quantum of Solace
2- Madagascar - Escape to Africa
3- Role Models
4- High School Musical 3 - Senior Year
5- Changeling
