O. J. Simpson Las Vegas Trial Verdict - Found Guilty On All Charges - Video

O.J. Simpson was found guilty on Friday (10/03/08) on all twelve counts resulting from the arrest after an altercation in a Las Vegas hotel room last year.

The guilty verdicts included the charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, conspiracy to commit robbery and kidnapping, burglary, robbery, assault and coercion.

The Las Vegas verdict comes almost thirteen years after Mr. Simpson was acquitted in the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman.

O.J. Simpson now faces fifteen years to life in prison for the kidnapping charge, and a minimum of ten years in prison for the other charges. His attorney, Yale Galanter, said Simpson would appeal the verdicts.

Simpson showed little emotion as the guilty verdicts were read and the judge denied him bail. After the reading, O.J. was taken away in handcuffs. Mr. Simpson will return to the courtroom on December 5, 2008 for sentencing.

The charges stemmed from an arrest after O.J. Simpson led five friends on a robbery of a Las Vegas Hotel and Casino guest room and fled with hundreds of items of memorabilia from the sports careers of O.J. Simpson and other athletes.

The use of a weapon adds several years to the minimum sentences for nine of the twelve guilty charges, which also included conspiracy to commit robbery and kidnapping, burglary, robbery, assault and coercion.

The jury of nine women and three men deliberated for only 13 hours, reviewing weeks of testimony and hours of audio recordings of the planning and execution of the crimes.

Convicted with Mr. Simpson was Clarence Stewart, 54, one of the five men who accompanied Mr. Simpson in the raid. Mr. Stewart faces the same sentences.
